My coconut oil/conditioner wash regimen continues. This is the coconut oil I've been using -- Barlean's 100% organic extra virgin coconut oil. I picked it up at my local health food store, and what's so great is that I also needed a facial moisturizer at the time. Well, I've been using this oil on my face and hair with good results.
From reading, I can see that some women have experienced crunchy hair or they say that coconut oil seems to dry out their hair, the opposite of what you want. To avoid this, it's important to use the smallest amount possible -- unlike hair products that contain lots of bad stuff that coat your hair, making it feel dryer and dryer (and having you combat it with even more of the bad stuff, continuing a vicious cycle), natural products are better used in moderation. Start with the smallest amount possible and then add as necessary. It's much easier to add more instead of having to take some away.
I'll keep you updated on how this no 'poo/coconut oil regimen works for me!
