Water for Healthy Hair

If you're still sticking to your New Year's resolutions (one of which was to pamper your hair more, right?), consider this for healthy hair: water.

In a recent discussion with a makeup artist friend, she told me how some women come to her looking for a magical product to give them good skin, all the while proclaiming how much they hate to drink water.

Do you know where this is going?

All of the vitamins, creams, lotions, oils, gels, mousses and so forth will never take the place of adequate amounts of water for a healthy body. Water is one of the cheapest ways to nourish your hair and skin, so if dry, brittle hair seems to plague you no matter what you put on it, ask yourself if you're drinking enough water.

If you're not, begin today. Right now! Grab a bottle or fill up a glass and get to sipping. Let's say you're practically a camel and two cups of water is about 100% more than you drank yesterday. Drink, drink and drink some more (water, that is). Keep it up and in a few weeks time, you may be amazed at the difference all this water makes.

I think not drinking enough water might be the “root” of many of my current hair and skin concerns. Thanks, Del, I’m going to fill up a large glass with water and chug it right now.

I am certainly happy for your article (Water for Healthy Hair). Good pure water is very important for our health (over all). If you are in good health, then your hair will show this,it’s so relative. I am looking forward to more to good diet-in rations to beautiful hair. Thank You.
