The Importance of Deep Conditioning

Have you ever tried a styling product that other people raved about and not gotten great results? You're not alone. I've tried products which I'd heard some positive things about. The first couple of times, I didn't get the same great results that others did. I chalked that up to "everything isn't for everybody" and was getting ready to move on.

Then I noticed my hair seemed frizzier than usual and I remembered I was overdue for a deep condition. So I took the time to pamper my hair and retried those same products. Guess what? I got much better results post-deep conditioning.

Sometimes, I hear from readers who wonder why Product X isn't working for them or why their hair just doesn't want to cooperate all of a sudden. While every case is different, in some instances, it's simply a matter of thirsty hair. I know many of us are busy, but taking time out to replenish your hair's moisture is crucial. It doesn't have to take an entire day to do this, either -- 15 to 60 minutes is usually more than enough time to baby your tresses back into shape, but you have to do it on a regular basis.

If you're overdue for a deep condition, now may be a good time to give your hair some TLC.
