If you're at all concerned with your hair's health (and we all should be), then you probably already know that too much heat is not good. But how much is really too much?
Maybe you heat style your hair several times per week and have never had a problem. Or maybe you had just one bad heat session and had to repair some damage. As a matter of fact, due to some heat damage on my own hair (I should know better!), I'm ditching all direct heat for the foreseeable future.

Instead of relying on your thermal styling tool too often, make sure you practice good maintenance like wrapping your hair before bed -- not only do you prolong your straightening efforts in a gentle way, but you also retain more moisture, leading to longer, stronger tresses.
